A Successful Protest

The Post-Gazette wrote an editorial contemptuous of those protesting Trump last week. I wrote a reply they published a week and a day later.

In that brief amount of time, the presidential “to honor or not to honor, that is the question” fiasco regarding McCain ensued. It provided a great example of why it is important (and efficacious) to kick and scream when our Head of State does not act like one.

Trump agreed to only briefly lower the flag to half-staff at the White House, and do a tweet of familial condolence instead of lauding McCain. Steps in the right direction, which help point the way to more.
