Sprint at the Beginning

This is the rephrasing of one line from Seth Godin’s blog this week “How We Do Things Around Here.”

There is a siren call in the sprint to the finish. It’s not just for procrastinators. It is encoded in us from the collegiate all-nighter or a childhood of seeing action-filled cinematic endings. It is easier to think you’ll get the momentum later instead of overcoming the terror of the blank page now.

A bias towards action is best at the beginning. The faster the better. Do it now, start now.
